Pixie, an 8 yr old female purebred Yorkie, has a buddy, Aston, a 6 yr old purebred male Chihuahua, who was purchased from a breeder to be a companion to her. Because they are so bonded we would like to place Pixie and Aston together. Their personalities complement each other perfectly. Aston is very shy around new people, although when he warms up to you he becomes very affectionate. Pixie is very social and likes attention. She is a very smart, loving girl who knows basic commands and is very energetic. Both Aston and Pixie are house trained and get along with other dogs, although Aston doesn't like big dogs. They are fine with adults and children of all ages, but more outgoing with older kids. Pixie had half of her upper jaw removed due to a benign (non-cancerous) tumor, so her tongue hangs out of her mouth in an adorable way. She also has numerous food and environmental allergies, and is on steroids and special food to handle the allergies. Aston is perfectly healthy and has no special needs. He is neutered and Pixie is spayed, and both are up-to-date on vaccinations.
